| Well, Halloween was scary for us for a few reasons. First, on Tuesday night before Halloween Javier and I realized that the reason Chupete had been acting weird all day was not, in fact, because he was scared of the halloween decorations we put up (though it is very true that he’s scared of them). Actually, we finally caught sight of the dewclaw that was hanging by a tiny piece of skin off of his right front paw and the poor guy had been pacing around the house all day because of it. He never limped or whined, so we didn’t even think to check out his paws til around 9:00 at night. The scary part wasn’t the claw so much as the cost to fix it – we didn’t want to wait til morning to take him to the vet because he seemed pretty miserable, so I took him at night to the emergency clinic to get him fixed up. Ugh that place is expensive…but they gave him an anesthetic, tore the claw out (poor fella) and gave us some antibiotics and painkillers to take home. Poor, poor pupster! |
Bueno, Halloween fue de “miedo” por un par de razones. Primero, el Martes en la noche antes de Halloween, Javier se dio cuenta que la razon por la cual Chupete actúo un poco extraño todo el día no era que le tenia miedo a las decoraciones que habiamos puesto (aunque en verdad si les tiene mierdo). La verdadera razón la descubrimos cuando pudimos ver una de sus unas de su pata derecha delantera, y estaba colgándole solo por un pedazito de piel y por eso que no paraba de darse vueltas por la casa. Nunca cojeo o lloro, asi que no pensamos en revisarle las patas hasta las 9 de la noche cuando nos dimos cuenta. La parte que de susto no es que la una se viera fea sino el costo de repararsela – no esperamos al otro dia para ir al veterinario porque se notaba que estaba muy angustiado, asi que lo llevamos a la clinica veterinaria de emergencia para tratarlo. Ahh ese lugar es caro…pero le dieron anestesia, le sacaron la una (pobrecito) y le dieron antibióticos y pastillas para el dolor que pudimos traer a casa. Pobre, pobre cachorro! |
